“I would not say that I am too happy,” he explained. “Just simply amused by the situation. You being rather kind to me after so long of simply distrusting me. I’m not sure how to feel about it.”
She snorted. “Maybe I’m a clone. It’ll go back to normal after a few days, don’t you worry,” she put on her jacket, shutting the locker doors.
“You don’t want too, but you are right now.” He grinned a little, biting on his finger finding this amusing. What had changed on her previous mission that would make her so kind to him right now. “Could it be that we are becoming friends?”
“I’m just loopy from pain. Not insane,” she rolled her eyes as she started to get dressed behind him. “Soon enough I’ll be back to my normal self, and all your worries will be over.”
“You are most certainly behaving unlike yourself. I must say I like this version of you better. But I do hope you don’t lose your hard touch, then I would simply be baffled.”
“Send me to the med bay if I do. I don’t want to be to nice to you,” finished with the shower she turned it off, wrapping herself in a towel. “If you don’t want a broken nose, look the other direction.” Honestly, she wouldn’t care if he saw her, but couldn’t let him get excited.
